Bancroft Basement

Edit design build studio transformed this dim unfinished concrete block basement in a 1920s Minneapolis bungalow into a bright and inviting family room. With almost no natural light and years of clutter, it was hard to imagine its possibilities. With the addition of two large Marvin egress windows, a timber-lined egress well, tight insulation, and smart use of space, this basement was completely transformed. With its own newly finished bathroom and a high quality sleeper sofa, this family room doubles as a guest suite for this young family.
