For two homeowners who love long baths, their existing bathroom was simply unsuitable. Crumbling tiles and leaking plumbing finally led this couple to decide it was time to start over. Edit Design Build Studio salvaged a 1911 cast iron clawfoot tub--perfect for long soaking baths--and designed an elegant bathroom around it. A rainshower and handheld shower fixture were installed along with a separate tub filler and custom niche with glass shelves. The original radiator was kept for the gentle heat it offers and in-floor heat was added to complete the luxurious feel.
