"Working with EDIT Design/Build Studio was amazing. We’ve done a handful of renovations in the past, working with different companies, and no one has come close in terms of quality of the work, professionalism, and overall experience.

We really liked the working relationship we had with Ryan and Zoe. They compliment each other with technical knowledge and design sensibilities, and from the very beginning, we felt that we were entering a partnership with them. They treated our project as if it was their own. We received weekly updates that were thorough and helped keep us informed on progress. For example, they provided timely reminders of items we needed to do such as order appliances, select paint colors, etc. They were also responsive and always got back to us promptly when we had questions or concerns. We felt like we were their top priority. Something that made EDIT stand out was their integrity. They were always honest and transparent, and stuck to the schedule and budget throughout the entire project. "Edit remodeled our kitchen and finished the basement in our South Minneapolis house. Their work is outstanding. In the basement we have two bedrooms, a full bath, a living/entertainment room, plenty of storage, and a lot of light with four new egress windows. It's an amazing transformation. The kitchen is spacious, bright, and very functional. The tile work and cabinetry is beautiful. The back entrance was shifted to accommodate a new mudroom/laundry separated from the kitchen by a pocket door. We’re so happy with the new spaces and will enjoy them for many years. "Edit Design Build studio recently completed a full kitchen renovation and conversion of a bedroom into a master bath suite in our 108 year old St. Paul Victorian home. They did a fantastic job in every way, truly going above and beyond our expectations. We have done several major home remodels and are familiar with the headaches that can ensue-- but the husband and wife team of Zoe and Ryan ensured that the process was smooth from start to finish, and the results are absolutely stunning. We placed a LOT of trust in them, since the majority of the project (90%) was completed while we were living across the country. They sent detailed weekly progress reports and pictures, video conferenced with us on a regular basis, and they were always available whenever we had questions. They made our vision come to life: they understood our desire for spaces that remained true to the home's historic character while adding modern features such as a more open floor plan, a walk-in closet, radiant floor heating, and a steam room. They worked with us to translate our ideas into a great plan, going through several iterations until it was just right and coming up with clever touches we would have never thought of on our own. We were able to relax knowing our home was in such good hands. Ryan and Zoe are creative, communicative, honest, very detail-oriented and well-organized, and are really nice folks to be around, too (important when sharing space in your home during construction!). They are excellent problem solvers when unexpected issues arise during the construction phase, as is inevitable when renovating an older home. Unlike other contractors I've worked with, they stuck to the proposed timeline and finished on schedule. I can't imagine a better experience for a renovation project. "I highly recommend Edit Design Build Studio! We talked to a few builders before we first talked with Edit Design Build Studio. The builders didn't seem to have a vision for us and our space. They left us feeling confused and uncertain. However, when we talked to Edit, they gave us the important information we needed right away. They also told us what we could expect with the budget we offered them. They helped us understand the whole process and took away our confusion. Not only that, but they also took the time to understand us as a couple and a family so we could get the absolute most out of the space we were adding/remodeling within the budget we had. I am so glad we went with a design/build team instead of just a builder. It was amazing to have a team on our side who stayed with us through the whole process. Edit did a great job keeping to schedule and budget. They were always very open and honest with us about the budget. They let us know right away when something wasn't in our budget. And when there might be some question about the pricing of something, they made sure to give us several options and the prices of all of them, so we could choose the one that made the most sense for us. At the end of the project, we stayed within our budget and there were no surprises. As for our project's schedule, we knew when it was going to start, when each part of the project was going to be done, and when it was going to be finished. Edit always kept us up to date on what was going to happen the next day and the next week. If anything was going to be delayed, they let us know right away. This made it much easier to live with the on-going construction."
