This 80 square foot kitchen presented many challenges. A radiator consumed one wall, the refrigerator blocked a window and the poor layout provided only two linear feet of countertops. Space was annexed from an adjacent landing to accommodate the fridge allowing the new layout to maximize countertops and storage. Maple cabinets and soapstone counters help this efficient modern kitchen relate to the 1920s home that surrounds it.
