Golden Valley Kitchen

This mid-century split level home was in dire need of a proper kitchen renovation.  The homeowner was committed to honoring the age and style of her home, while updating the function of the space.  Although the size and galley layout did not change, the new arrangement of appliances, storage and workspaces make for a much more user friendly cooking experience. Custom cabinetry in a mix of sophisticated gray and bold cherry wood, pays homage to the original mid century design of the home.  While custom shelving was built to showcase the homeowners’ curated collection of vintage ceramics.  A slatted cherry screen wall was included as a thoughtful transition to the dining room. Colors and finishes were selected to complement and honor the large collection of vivid paintings completed by the homeowner's late father. Brass cabinet hardware and lighting fixtures are the finishing touches on this space that once again belongs in this mid century modern home.
